# Governance Voting

*Governance Voting is an intended MSIG staking utility. This page describes the governance model, not current availability.*

The vote-escrow governance system is designed to give MSIG stakers a voice in the development of Meta Signals.

### What stakers can do <a href="#what-stakers-can-do" id="what-stakers-can-do"></a>

* Vote on platform parameters and upgrades.
* Participate in community proposals.
* Help shape the future direction of Meta Signals.

### How voting power works <a href="#how-voting-power-works" id="how-voting-power-works"></a>

Voting power scales with both the amount staked and the lock duration. Larger stakes and longer commitments carry greater voting weight.
